Terms of Use

1. License to use

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App for your own, non-commercial learning, under these Terms. You may not:

• copy, modify or distribute the App or its content;
• reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the App's source code;
• rent, lease, lend, sell or sublicense the App;
• misuse our services, for example by sending automated requests to them.

2. Our content

The App and its content (including the lessons and stories, word lists, audio, design, the lynx character and the Lince name and logo) belong to Growth Essentials, LLC or its licensors. Some content is used under third-party licenses, listed in the App under Settings › Acknowledgments.

3. Your recordings

When you record yourself for pronunciation practice, you allow us and our speech-scoring provider to process the recording to score it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your study data

Your progress, saved words, decks and settings are stored on your device. We can't restore them if you delete the App or lose your device, so please keep your device backed up (for example with iCloud).

5. Lince Plus subscriptions

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.

6. Disclaimers

Lince is a tool to help you learn Spanish. We don't guarantee particular results, fluency or passing grades in any exam. Pronunciation scores are automated estimates.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will be error-free or available at any particular time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Growth Essentials, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

8. Changes

We may change these Terms, and we may update, change or discontinue the App or any part of it. We will post changes to these Terms on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the new Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
